About Me
I'm an amateur woodworker in Swanson, Waitakere. I've been persuing furniture making as a weekend hobby on-and-off for a few years, and I know enough to know how little I know. I have a basic setup of woodworking machinery, but recently I've been enjoying working with hand tools much more. In particular, since my day job involves sitting in front of a computer, I don't mind the idea of woodwork being a little more physical. I also like the idea of being able to work on a project in a small cozy shed with natural light, air free from dust, and neighbours feeling free to drop in for a chat rather than hiding from the noise.
I'm learning most of my woodwork from books and movies, which has made some skills particularly hard to master. I'd benefit from having more experienced woodworkers around to learn from, although I have been able to run successful workshops for people less experienced that myself.
